The trend of online shopping has spread like a wildfire these days. Everyone prefers ordering stuff at home rather than going out to shop. Obviously, it is far more convenient and finding stuff online is a lot easier as well. But what most people aren’t aware of is that some online shops can be a little more expensive than brick-and-mortar businesses themselves.

However, there are certain steps you can take to save money while shopping online as well. Shocked, right? Well, all you need to know are some tips and tricks which can save some extra bucks at the big stores and on your favorite brands as well.

Shop on the right day:

Even though you might be a little tired towards the end of the week and are just wishing to hit the bed, trust me Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the days when most of the stores roll out discounts and sales. Didn’t know that, right?

Majority of the brands usually put on discounts and sales during these three week days. So, make yourself a cup of coffee, sit back, and rest a little and then start shopping. Trust me, you’ll get a lot of stuff at half the price too!!!

Make a wish-list:

The biggest mistake a majority of the people usually make is that they don’t make a wish-list prior to shopping. This results in last minute impulse shopping which obviously leads to overspending. If you are looking to save some extra bucks then make sure you make a list of the things you need and avoid everything which is not necessary. Making a list will help you sort things which you don’t need and help in saving the extra money, which of course you can save for later.

The multi-coupon strategy:

Okay, so what is a multi-coupon strategy? Well, it’s no rocket science. Multi-coupon strategy is a simple shopping technique which allows you to use discount vouchers to get big discounts. For instance, you have a voucher of 30% and a promo code for $10 discount. Now, before you are checking out make sure you use the coupons correctly. First, apply the 30% coupon, this way you’ll get the discount on the whole item and afterwards use the $10 promo code voucher. See, how easy it is to get multiple discounts all at once?

Bargaining with the customer care service:

Yeah, I know it may seem weird. How can you argue and bargain with a customer care person when he is not right there in front of you. Well, here is how. If you already had a promo code or a voucher which just expired two or three days ago you can ring up the customer care service providers and ask them if your promo code can be extended. Tell them you want to make a purchase, but your voucher just expired and ask for an extension. Honestly, this has worked for me several times.

Leave the stuff in your cart:

It sounds crazy but this is one of the best ways to get discounts and vouchers. When shopping online, if you leave your items in the cart for a day or two, the retailers sometimes realize that you didn’t make an impulse purchase. This can prompt them to give you promo codes and vouchers to increase their sales. Some websites even have this automatically set up on their stores. Amazing, isn’t?

These are some of the tricks and tips to dodge the retailers and get the stuff for lesser and discounted price. For more such informative articles, stay connected.
