1. Schedule upcoming deadlines

While you’re keeping up with schoolwork, be sure to schedule important deadlines and reminders.

Each week focus on your schedule at the beginning middle and end of each week. If you follow through on a few things each week the days just before graduation will be smooth sailing!

Graduation day is a highlight you’ll always remember. No doubt you’re planning graduation invitations, and you’re the headline.

2. Planning your Look

What you will wear under your graduation gown will no doubt be captured in hundreds of photos on the big day.

Be sure to plan ahead to have just the right look. Be sure to put your outfits together well in advance for those invitation photos. It’s officially one of the best chances your parents will ever get to brag about you!

Include your family in planning your look. If you’re the typical college student, you may need a little help to pull it off. You’ll likely get some good advice. By including them early, you may even get some financial help to get just right outfits.

Psst, don’t forget about accessories!

What you wear can affect how you feel about yourself!

3. Tailoring your Look

Whether you’re buying your outfits locally or ordering pieces online, you should expect they may need alterations.

Scout out some local talent and be sure to give them plenty of notice. It’s an art and you should expect it may take a week or more to get them back.

4. Senior Pictures and Invitations

Scheduling pictures take time. Whether you’re hiring professionals or having a trusted photographer to take your pics, be sure to plan ahead.

It takes less time now since photos are all digital, but you still need to coordinate a time to pick out the best shots. Schedule some face time with the photographer after the shoot to pick out the very best.

5. Sending Announcements

Graduation announcements like wedding announcements are still customarily mailed. The announcement is a memento for scrapbooks, fireplace mantles and coffee tables to those closest in your life.

You’ll want to mail them out well ahead of your graduation date.

Remember your parents are going to want to take credit for everything you ever did so be sure to let them think it’s all about them!

6. Auditorium Seating

Touch base with the school so you’ll know how many tickets you can get for the ceremony. You may be able to request more tickets if you call early. It’s always easier to give them up if they aren’t needed.

It’ll help simplify planning for all of those people coming to see you on your big day.
